On Judgement Day, we'll bring 2 things in the court of Allah that we will have to account for. Good deeds and Sins. Actually, there'll be a third thing - the blessings of Allah. There are 2 such blessings - physical (how we walk, talk etc) and spiritual (worship etc). Ramadan is such a spiritual blessing. Finding a friend of Allah is a great spiritual blessing - what would your state be without this? Other such blessings - salaah, Hifz, alim. We must fulfil the rights of all these blessings - it's a test. We should be so grateful. But we just complain about our situation, chasing after dunya, we're sad that others have more than us. But the true person, the grateful one, is that one who is grateful however bad their situation.

So, how do we pass this test? How do we account for Allah's favours and blessings? How? By doing Allah's dhikr - Allah's says in Quran that dhikr is shukr! Repays for both physical and spiritual blessings.

Why are shayookh, who propagate and practise dhikr, friends of Allah? Allah's says, "remember Me and I'll remember you". These people have connection with Allah. They get inspiration from Allah. They are with Allah. All from dhikr.

How much dhikr? Allah's says in abundance. Which means continuously, which means by heart, which you should learn from a Sheikh. The more a student is immersed with his Sheikh, the more he will benefit. The heart of the Sheikh is like a fountain. Which should make dua that Allah's turns our hearts towards Him. Must have adab, manners with your Sheikh - not crossed legged, not raised heads or voices. This is not shirk, nauthubillah, but adaab of Sahabah. Note that a Sheikh is not one who messes with magic, jinns etc, but the one who brings you close of Allah.

Remember that dua - ask for a Sheikh who can turn your heart to Allah, so you account for his blessings.
