Taubah, record-keeping-angels, limbs & earth can no longer testify against you for your sins. Taubah means genuine regret & promise no more sin. After taubah, everywhere do Dhikr.
Shaytan did more and more dua, so allowed to influence man, then can multiply like man, then come close to man (not enough, since rooh can be powerful), and then can flow into man's bloodstream. (Do dua like this, more and more, before every action. Allah never hesitates to give.) Then, all Shaytan workers can attack man, then can be involved in every action of man (eat, quran, everything), then can do waswas to man to inject bad thoughts.
Taubah, ignore waswas about lose wealth, wife etc. So Allah gave Shaytan this power BUT said won't be able to win over man! Why? As long as he does Dhikr! For alim, or any person, protect yourself with Dhikr all the time, with all actions. Ilm won't help you. Punishment for those who don't do Dhikr is that Shaytan overwhelms them, be part of all the Ibaadat. Eg tahajjud and then backbite, so Ibaadat ruined.
