Allah is the creator and runs the whole universe, the whole of creation. Allah has given mankind intellect to understand it, but the message of Rasoolullah (saws) starts where science ends - the whole universe runs on Dhikrullah. When that ends, so does the universe - Qiyamah. Why? This is the connection between Allah and His creation.
Sign of Qiyamah is Dhikr will reduce, not salah or other ibadat. And you can see that today. Even decades ago, Dhikr was prevalent. Our houses and families are devoid of Dhikr, we're the walking dead. No barakah on our lives, just darkness. If the universe can't exist without Dhikr, how can we?
The places of Dhikr on earth shine like stars to those in the heavens. The angels run to the dhikr, like bees to honey. This is the light of Dhikr. And heart that does Dhikr is full of this light - it will fill wherever you are with light. This light will make manifest in akhlaaq, ihsan. The reality of life will come to you.
And unlike something like hajj, Dhikr is so easy, for more reward. And you'll feel it in your heart, but won't fully realise its magnificence until the aakhirah. On the plain of resurrection, the dhaakireens' hearts will be shining brightly, to the amazement of those around. They did Dhikr in wealth, poverty, sickness, health, all the time.
Don't ever leave Dhikr. Run after wealth and get fake peace, but do dhikr and get real peace - in the heart. All quarrels etc, don't worry, do dhikr, whatever shaitaan says. Keep to your wazaif.
In these times, when the signs of Qiyamah of here, immodesty, disobedient kids, parents with no affection, fitnah in the pockets, we have the regular gatherings of Dhikr. This is keeping azaab, storms, hurricanes from coming. Ignore those that criticise. You're in the gardens of paradise. Such people don't feel like sleeping etc.
