People fall into various categories in dunya - rich/poor, status, nationality etc, but these are all false. The only real categorisation is those that do dhikr and those that don't. This is a simple, non-contentious divide stated by Allah. Allah states in Quran that those that don't are blind to need for dhikr. These people criticise those that do dhikr (they ask "why are you going so far for dhikr?" , the wife asks "why go Dhikr when you don't spend time with me?"). Then, Allah states in the Quran several punishments that these people will receive:

Punishment 1 - Allah allows the accursed shaitaan loose on them. They will have no peace in their life, distress, sleepless nights. Here's an example. There was one sister who was very distressed, her life full of problems. Her life was full of sin. But she did taubah and learned Dhikr, and become so much at peace, despite her dunya problems being worse. She was full of Allah's praise, and no complaint. In fact, such problems are there to test us and raise our status, not as an excuse to leave Dhikr.

Punishment 2 - shaitaan will become their closest friend, into their veins. He will use his cunning to deviate them. We must make sure everyone in our home is saved from this and does Dhikr.

Punishment 3 - they will be taken off the straight path, the Quran and sunnah. They'll be immersed in sin

Punishment 4 - they become solid in disobedience, ready for hell, but say they are rightly guided.

Allah save us from the enmity of Dhikr. The angels come to the dhikr gatherings. But the son says his dad doesn't like him going Dhikr, the wife gets upset when the husband goes. But there are women who are the hoors of dunya, the ones who encourage their family to Dhikr. This is real beauty, not looking pretty. In fact wudhu is a way to beautify ourselves, and that's how we'll be recognised in the aakhirah.

Running to Dhikr isn't strictness, it's Allah's favour. Those that don't are shocked at, for example, when they see the sunnah libaas worn in the UK. For example, their was a man from Madinah Shareef who thought the UK was the best place and wanted to swap with Hadhrat Saahib!

Allah says these people will get the shock in the aakhirah. They will regret the guidance they followed of their friend, of shaitaan. A lesson to learn here is to not make close friends with someone who doesn't follow Islam or Dhikr. They'll misguide you away from Dhikr majaalis and deen.

There are three types of Dhikr:
1) lisani - tongue. Durood, Quran etc
2) badani - your amaal, these are dhikr
3) qalbi - heart. The genuine, high impact one. Why? We have to do dhikr in abundance, but the first two have a limit, but this one can be done all the time. This is the one that will, if not done, incur the aforementioned punishments.
